How it all started?:

Back in 1999, brothers Rich and Jeff Rothmund launched the company as a small repair shop and grew it into a multi-line powersports and lawn and garden dealer. They started off selling Husqvarna equipment and Arctic Cat ATV’s. 2001 came along and the brothers had a new building built. That allowed them to bring Arctic Cat snowmobiles, soon after adding Suzuki in the year 2004. Just two years later they expanded and purchased Action Cycle, acquiring the Yamaha line! As the years grew so did the business; 2012 was the start of another new adventure for the brothers. They purchased another business, Grand Rental Station. Grand Rental Station specializes in new lawn and garden brands such as, Ariens/Gravely, Toro and STIHL. Interestingly enough, with a full-time event coordinator, they have a large selection of party supplies for rent! One year later, TA Motorsports was able to bring in another big brand (CF Moto), this expanded the variety of brands and products being sold. TA Motorsports is located in a big farming community, in an effort to continue serving their customers, the brothers decided to make another investment in selling Kioti Tractors. With all the accomplishments they have accrued already, Rich and Jeff continues to strive for growth and expansion while maintaining the hometown feel. February 2021, TA Motorsports was awarded Arctic Cat’s Top District Volume Dealer in Illinois, Michigan and Wisconsin! As small business owners, family is important. Taylor Rothmund, Daughter of Rich Rothmund and John Rothmund, Son of Jeff Rothmund are well on their way of taking over the company. As the two cousins work together every day in effort to find ways to make this company thrive, they are bringing in new business and competitive pricing!
